Fleet emission reduction
Maritime transport emits around 1000 million tonnes of CO2 annually and is responsible for about 2.5% of global greenhouse gas emissions. Tackling these numbers is of vital importance for our planet as ships generate emissions of sulfur oxides (SOx), oxides of nitrogen(NOx), particulate matter (PM) and carbon dioxide (CO2) as a result of the fuel used to power them.
Therefore, the maritime industry has opened their harbours to innovative ideas and smart solutions to reduce the output of these noxious gases.
