Green Shipping

In the Netherlands the port of Rotterdam is responsible for 20% of Dutch greenhouse gas emissions. As agreed during the Paris Agreement the Netherlands will reduce its greenhouse gas emissions by 80-95 percent. Like the Netherlands, the maritime industry is taking steps to cut emissions worldwide. However, our society still needs petrol, diesel and kerosene. Many of the products we use today are still petroleum-based – paint, for example, or the highgrade polymers used in products like insulation materials. That’s why we need to work together to make the industry cleaner. Small steps can be made by everybody in such a way to test new opportunities and really change the behaviour of me, you and your colleagues!
